About Kindercone

KinderCone is the first company to bring the 200 year old German tradition of the Schultüte to America.  When first graders in Germany and Austria set off on their first day of school, their families reward them with a large, colorful cone filled with  treats, school supplies and gifts.  For all the children who have eagerly awaited this moment sicne pre-school, the presentation of their very own Schultüte is a wonderful way to begin their year of first grade.  Throughout many generations and still continuing today, that day is celebrated and creates a lifelong memory for the entire family.

A Special Moment in a Child’s Life

As a child in Germany I experienced the joy of holding my own Schultüte  on my first day of school and I wanted to pass this tradition and excitement on to my own children.  The beginning of school is a special and cherished time in a child’s life and KinderCone reflects this rite of passage.  In keeping with the tradition to celebrate the entry into first grade, my KinderCones come pre-filled with a keepsake journal, a plush toy of Karli, the cat, also the main character of the journal, along with fun KinderCone pencils and temporary tattoos—look inside KinderCone.  Parents and Grandparents are encouraged to include their own special gift to make it personal and from the heart.  I envision KinderCone as a gift that will be re-used year after year and filled with school related gifts for every first day of school.  Imagine a  morning where children wake up on their first day of school, excited and ready to receive their back to school gift, reminiscent of Christmas morning.  I am  also offering smaller cones for the little brother or sister and small blank craft cones that can be self-decorated as a party favor.  Celebrate this wonderful tradition with us and KinderCone.  I am looking forward to all your suggestions and comments.
